Where is the BBBR taking place in 2016?

The original Help for Heroes challenge returns in 2016 to follow the iconic Western Front from Verdun to Ypres. 350 miles over 5 days with civilians, veterans and the Band of Brothers.

 

Few words invoke the same feelings of horror and incredible loss as the ‘Western Front’ – a deadlock between forces during WWI and the scene of some of the best-known battles in history. The Big Battlefield Bike Ride will both remember those who were killed or injured on the Front, and celebrate the lives of those we now collectively work to support.

 

The battles of WWI may have ended nearly 100 years ago, but the battles faced by our wounded, injured and sick Service personnel continue.

Verdun – Châlons-en-Champagne: Battle of Verdun

Tue 7 June

Châlons-en-Champagne – Soissons

Wed 8 June

Soissons – St Quentin

Thu 9 June

St Quentin – Arras: Battle of the Somme

Friday 10 June

Arras – Ypres, finale and celebration meal

Saturday 11 June

Coach transfer to Calais, ferry to Dover
